We recommend you arrive in Australia 2 weeks prior to commencement of the course to settle and adjust to life in Australia. If you are unable to arrive by the commencement date, you may have to defer your offer as some programs have compulsory orientation.
Get Ready for Orientation
All students are required to attend Orientation Week to receive vital information regarding your course, students activities, and get to know get to know life on campus and in Adelaide as well as meet our friendly staff.
Overseas Student Health Cover
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is your health insurance while you are in Australia on a Student Visa and is required before you apply for your Student Visa. OSHC helps cover some of the costs of medical treatments if you get sick or have an accident while you’re studying in Australia.
All international students need to have OSHC for the entire length of their Student Visa in Australia.
Only Australian health funds that have signed an agreement with the Australian Government can provide OSHC.

Airport Pickup
Students can book on arrival airport pick up service from Adelaide airport to their nominated accommodation destination.
At the airport, Auctus staff will be holding a sign with your name and waiting to meet you inside the airport terminal.
Alternatively, there are multiple options available for travelling from Adelaide Airport. Taxis are readily available at the designated taxi rank which is located to the left hand side of the main terminal as you exit. Adelaide Metro also offers a convenient Adelaide Airport bus service with the pick up stop located on the left hand side of the plaza as you leave the Terminal.
Fee: $150 – must book 1 week in advance by sending an email to international@auctus.com.au. An invoice will be issued for this pick up fee which must be paid within 5 days upon arrival.

Short-Term Accommodation Options:

Bringing Families
Before you decide to bring your family to Australia, you should also consider the following:
- The cost of supporting a family in Australia is very high and it is important to ensure that you bring sufficient funds to support them financially.
If you would like to bring your children to Australia with you, you must be aware that School - age dependents of international students studying on a student visa must undertake formal schooling while they are in Australia.
You will need to provisionally enroll your child in a school before you leave your home country and you will normally have to pay the school fees one semester in advance. The school will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment Form (eCoE) stating the program and its duration, so that you can obtain the appropriate visa for your child.
