As you may be aware, the health care sector has been on the radar as an industry in critical demand of workers, not just support workers but admin, rostering, supervisors, case managers, nurses, trainers, gardeners, mentors ... it's endless!

We encourage students to continue on a qualification pathway not only to be continually learning, but also to keep adding to their employability skillset. 

Here is just one of the many stories of how we have assisted our students to reach their potential. 

Shila enrolled into Certificate III in Individual Support in early 2022. At that point in time, she didn't really have a clear indication of where she wanted it to lead or even if the course was right for her. One thing she did know for sure was that she had a passion for working in the mental health space. 

We encouraged her to give the course a go. As we do with all students, our advice is to join the class and find out what sparks your curiosity and often that is the area you end up finding yourself working in. With lived experience and a passion for helping others.

Shila gained employment with Recovery 4 Life whilst she continued to complete her qualification. Recovery 4 Life is an NDIS provider which supports people whose lives have been affected by mental illness or disability. This is where Shila flourished and unfolded her angel wings. Next, she enrolled into the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment because she had found herself with a passion for teaching others what she had learnt throughout her life. Shila now teaches people how to "Break Habits" and "Budget Track." Her teachings are so relatable and you feel her passion for wanting to help others through struggles just as she too has experienced the same struggles and discovered strategies to overcome them.

Now she is writing a book!!
